REALITY ROLEPLAY GANG INFORMATION GUIDELINES

SECTION 01 - PAGE INFORMATION:

C01.01 - JURISDICTIONS:

General Information: The Gang regulatory guidelines apply to the in-game servers, community forums, and Discord servers officially connected to the Reality roleplay community and the Reality Gaming network. This includes forums.realityrp.com, the Reality main server, the Gang Management server, and the Business Management server.

C01.02 - STAFF RESERVATIONS:

General Information: Gang management staff members reserve the right to take disciplinary and punitive action at their discretion against any player found violating written or unwritten regulatory guidelines to prevent minor and major negative impacts on the community's player and user experience.

C01.03 - CORRECTIVE ACTION:

General Information: Conduct deemed inappropriate, destructive, malicious, or unfitting within the Reality roleplay community will be handled according to the standard and Gang regulatory guidelines. Repeated engagement in such conduct will result in actions ranging from a permanent ban to a community removal.

C01.04 - INFRACTION CATEGORIES:

General Information: Regulatory guidelines are marked with specific classifications to outline the severity and impact of infractions related to a specific guideline. These classifications determine the actions taken against any individual or Gang in direct violation of a guideline:

  • Classification A: 30 Infraction Points & $1,000 p/Gang member.
  • Classification B: 50 Infraction Points & $1,500 p/Gang member.
  • Classification C: 90 Infraction Points & $2,000 p/Gang member.
  • Classification D: 150 Infraction Points & $3,000 p/Gang member.
  • Classification E: 250 Infraction Points & $5,000 p/Gang member.
  • Classification F: 350 Infraction Points & $10,000 p/Gang member.
  • Classification G: 1250 Infraction Points & Disbandment.
  • Classification H: 1 - 3 month unappealable suspension.

C01.05 - INFRACTION DISCLAIMER:

General Information: Infraction points are issued to a Gang when an infraction occurs. The points from one infraction remain on the Gang record for 3 months. If a Gang reaches a total of 1250 infraction points, the Gang will be disbanded and blacklisted from being recreated for 3 to 6 months at the discretion of Gang management.

C01.06 - STRIKE SYSTEM:

General Information: Gang management has a secondary system enforced by Reality Management for problematic Gangs showing no intent to correct their behavior and attitude. This system is used by management when a Gang disregards other Gangs or community members. Instead of infraction points, these punitive actions are known as strikes and do not expire. If a Gang receives three strikes, it will be immediately disbanded and blacklisted. Strikes have the following consequences:

  • Strike I: The recipient Gang must pay $25,000 p/Gang member. Individuals involved in the interaction leading to the strike will receive a [E] classification under standard community infraction guidelines. The Gang will be issued a ceasefire and force conflicted with the Gang that caused the strike and will also receive a [E] classification under Gang infraction guidelines.

  • Strike II: The recipient Gang must pay $50,000 p/Gang member. Individuals involved in the interaction leading to the strike will receive a [F] classification under standard community infraction guidelines. The Gang will be issued a temporary ceasefire with all Gangs they are actively beefing and will also receive a [F] classification under Gang infraction guidelines.

  • Strike III: The recipient Gang must pay $75,000p/Gang member. Individuals involved in the interaction leading to the strike will receive a [G] classification under standard community infraction guidelines. The Gang will be disbanded and blacklisted upon receiving the third and final strike.

SECTION 02 - GANG ESTABLISHMENT:

C02.01 - GANG MANAGEMENT MEMBERSHIP MANDATE:

Infraction Category: [A] General Information: Gang members, officers, and leaders are mandated to be members of the Gang management communication server for easy and direct access to staff members and vice versa. The responsibility of ensuring and maintaining this presence falls on the leadership of each individual Gang and will be enforced by Gang management staff.

C02.02 - GANG STRUCTURAL INFORMATION:

Infraction Category: [A] General Information: Gangs are expected to establish a structure upon the establishment and registration of their Gang into the Gang management system. This structure will reflect a separation between leadership, officers, and standard members within the Gang management server. Gang management has three membership classifications with the following limitations:

  • Gang Leader(s): This category consists of the tablet holder and up to two other individuals in charge, limiting this role to three members.

  • Gang Officer(s): This category consists of up to five individuals with leadership responsibilities, limiting this role to five members.

  • Gang Member(s): This category consists of up to twenty-four individuals with standard membership, limiting this role to twenty-four members.

SECTION 03 - GANG REPRESENTATION:

C03.01 - GANG IDENTIFICATION MANDATE:

Infraction Category: [C] General Information: Gangs are mandated to choose a series of clothing combinations for their members to represent their Gang. Flags can be used as a unique identifier but are not enough to fulfill this mandate. Each Gang is permitted to have two specific fits for males and females, totaling four. Members of Gangs are required to wear the full clothing combination while carrying out Gang activities and while initiating or participating in conflict with others. Initiating conflict over an identifier such as a flag is permitted but requires substantial interaction and roleplay. Conflict over an identifier is not applicable to clothing such as jackets, shirts, and pants.

C03.02 - VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION MANDATE:

Infraction Category: [B] General Information: Gang members are mandated to drive vehicles with their designated color identifier during Gang management approved conflicts and any interaction involving their Gang and another. However, the vehicle identification mandate is not grounds to kill on sight during an active conflict unless you can confirm that the individual driving a specific vehicle is a member of the Gang you are in conflict with.

SECTION 04 - CONFLICTS & DISPUTES:

C04.01 - IMPROPER INITIATION OF CONFLICT:

Infraction Category: [D] General Information: You are prohibited from initiating prolonged conflicts and disputes with other Gangs for reasons originating from an out-of-character perspective. This is a roleplay server; any conflicts and disputes occurring within roleplay must originate from motivations or reasons that occurred within roleplay. Below are reasons not to initiate conflict or disputes:

  • Minor to moderate levels of trash-talking against one or several members of your Gang.
  • Initiation of conflict over valuables lost to law enforcement as a result of your own actions.
  • Initiating conflict with another Gang over minor incidents such as traffic accidents.
  • Members of another Gang gaining priority over a heist before your Gang by showing up first with a hostage.
  • Bruised feelings as a result of comments made within or outside of roleplay.
  • Presence in highly hostile areas with the hope that you or your Gang is injured as justification to retaliate.
  • Conflict related to reasons such as vehicle identification colors.

C04.02 - THIRD PARTY INTERVENTION:

Infraction Category: [C] General Information: As a Gang member, you forfeit the right to engage in activities related to Gang-on-Gang violence on behalf of friends. Individuals not directly affiliated with a Gang dispute or conflict are not permitted to intervene or engage, as alliances are prohibited. Furthermore, as a representative of your Gang, you should be aware of the consequences your actions and judgment can lead to. Gangs listed as turf allies are not to participate in conflict; this is only for business-related purposes. Avoid endangering your own Gang as a result of your own activities and motivations.

C04.03 - ROLEPLAY MINDSET:

Infraction Category: [E] General Information: As a Gang, your mindset and priority should be centered on building your reputation among the rest of the Gangs and civilians of the city. However, this should be done through appropriate and reasonable interactions and scenes that can be considered memorable and enjoyable for more than just one party. Treating the server like an anarchy server is not permissible and will lead to Gang and character repercussions.

SECTION 05 - TAXATION POLICIES:

C05.01 - INDIVIDUAL TAXATION:

Infraction Category: [B] General Information: Gangs, as criminal enterprise organizations, are permitted to tax individual players for certain valuables in return for benefits such as protection while present in specific areas or while carrying out specific activities. This tax can be collected once every tsunami and is maxed out at up to $7,500 in cash or valuables per individual. There should be adequate and two-sided roleplay leading up to taxation.

C05.02 - BUSINESS TAXATION:

Infraction Category: [C] General Information: Gangs, as criminal enterprise organizations, are permitted to tax individual businesses for special deals, valuables, or cash in exchange for benefits such as providing protection to that specific business. This tax can be collected once every week and is maxed out at up to $200,000 in cash unless agreed upon otherwise by the business. There should be extensive and two-sided roleplay, as well as great benefits involved, leading to business taxation.

C05.03 - TAXATION LOOPHOLES:

Infraction Category: [E] General Information: You are prohibited from engaging in agreements with other Gangs to exploit taxation policies to benefit yourself and your Gang beyond the designated restrictions listed above. That said, you are expected to provide protection to individuals and businesses that you tax from both Gangs and other individuals alike. If you cannot satisfy this requirement, refrain from engaging in taxation.

SECTION 06 - THIRD PARTY COMMUNICATION:

C06.01 - COMMUNICATION SOFTWARES:

Infraction Category: [F] General Information: Gangs and their members are prohibited from using external communication services such as Discord, TeamSpeak, Skype, and so forth to relay in-character information to be used by the recipient. Using information obtained from these services is recognized as metagaming and will be handled as such alongside this policy. This is a roleplay server; use means such as Tweeter, phones, and radios to communicate with your friends and enemies alike.

SECTION 07 - REPORT POLICIES:

C07.01 - INESSENTIAL REPORTS:

Infraction Category: [D] General Information: This is a roleplay server; your first priority should be to handle matters through in-character interactions and scenes. Reporting others for the most minuscule policy violations should be avoided. People make mistakes, and it is better to attempt to approach the situation in-character through corrective interactions.

C07.02 - RETALIATORY REPORTS:

Infraction Category: [F] General Information: Retaliatory and petty reporting involves reporting one or several individuals out of spitefulness and dislike. Refrain from engaging in this conduct. Weaponizing the report system to harm the experience and reputation of another player is prohibited. You are here to have a good experience and time; play a part in ensuring that for other community members as well.

SECTION 08 - BASIC DECENCY POLICIES:

C08.01 - REALISTIC INTERACTIONS:

Infraction Category: [C] General Information: Gang conflicts and disputes will generally lead to certain levels of toxicity and banter. However, keep in mind that excessive levels of this should be avoided as it negatively impacts the player experience of others. Keep disputes that originated outside of character separate from roleplay interactions and the server itself. Engaging in acts of consistent toxicity and banter within the following zones is prohibited due to a lack of counterplay:

  • Pill Box Medical Center
  • Sandy Shores Medical Center
  • Paleto Bay Medical Center

C08.02 - UNWARRANTED INTERACTIONS:

Infraction Category: [C] General Information: Excessive and unprovoked actions are to be avoided. Your priority within roleplay should be to provide quality interactions and scenes to ensure memorable and enjoyable experiences for yourself, your peers, and your counters. Engaging in malicious acts with the sole intent to annoy, provoke, and upset others will not be accepted regardless of your justification. Examples of this include:

  • Picking up bodies and dumping them in a pile to talk smack and camp.
  • Using your vehicle to repeatedly and consistently run over a downed individual.
  • Excessively teabagging or dancing on a downed individual after downing them.

SECTION 09 - LAW ENFORCEMENT INTERACTIONS:

C09.01 - COMMON SENSE:

Infraction Category: [B] General Information: Law enforcement officers are supportive actors within roleplay. Their responsibility is to enforce the laws and be an obstruction to organized crime and petty crimes. Treat them with a certain level of respect; you should avoid getting in the crosshairs of law enforcement. If you are pulled over in a traffic stop, cooperate and create a memorable interaction with them. Refrain from ambushing them over a simple traffic stop, do not call your Gang members to pull up and park around the area, and do not be an ass unless there is appropriate justification.

C09.02 - CAPTURE INTERVENTION:

Infraction Category: [D] General Information: Gangs are prohibited from intervening with law enforcement upon the arrest of one or several Gang members. As of the moment a Hospital is reached, no violent interactions may be carried out from there onward. If you want your members released, find a way to get them released without ambushing law enforcement while convoying back to their designated facility. This policy does not apply if the arrested members are classified as Gang leaders, as these are high-value members of a Gang and should be treated accordingly. However, this exception is only valid outside of a Hospital; shooting into the hospital is prohibited.

SECTION 10 - CEASEFIRE POLICIES:

C10.01 - CONFLICT RELATED:

Infraction Category: [D] General Information: Ceasefires are imposed by Gang management against two Gangs prior to the beginning of an official Gang conflict. These ceasefires will be implemented 3 days in advance of an official conflict to ensure that all parties have an adequate amount of time to prepare themselves for the conflict.

C10.02 - SPECIAL INSTANCES:

Infraction Category: [F] General Information: Ceasefires can be imposed by Gang management against one or several Gangs should there be suspicions of conflict leaving the boundaries of roleplay. These instances include, but are not limited to, retaliatory reporting, excessive actions being taken against people outside of roleplay, and whenever non-roleplay related issues are brought into roleplay to fuel the dispute.

SECTION 11 - TURF GUIDELINES:

SECTION 12 - GANG MANAGEMENT DIRECTIVES:

C12.01 - DIRECTIVE VIOLATION:

Infraction Category: [H] General Information: Violating directives issued by Gang management or management staff is prohibited. Directives such as disbandment or blacklists will be enforced without reservation at the discretion of management. If you believe a directive is unjust and unwarranted, contact a member of management to clear it up.
